Are Short Term Goals Effective?

In this highly competitive world everyone is hard pressed for time and wasting time is like investing your hard earned money in a bad venture. Each and every one of us have a very demanding schedule that does not allow us to spent hours and days leisurely and without any work. Out of all kinds of activity that we participate on a daily basis we tend to follow a set pattern of goals  called the long term and short term goals that we need to achieve in order to rate our development. Short term goals are effective because they help in dividing the bigger and tedious goals into mini goals that are easier to be achieved. Moreover considering the urgency of a target the short term goals help to assign the importance to each and every goal. It also let one think about the possible consequences adequate time and importance is given to a particular task.
